Jackson bares breast during half time show

Pop superstar Janet Jackson lost her chest plate during her Super Bowl XXXVIII half time performance, giving football fans an unexpected peep show. It appeared as though singer Justin Timberlake ripped it off as part of the show, revealing Jackson's right breast with a silver star on it. Did someone go too far?

No harm, no foul. This was entertainment! It's half-time and Janet is an outstanding performer. I completly saw this display with her and Justin as poetic license and completly artistic in all manners. People are overreacting.

Who cares? Seriously, why would anyone get so worked up about this? I thought it was an odd career move, but offensive? I never really understand people who get offended by nudity...exactly who is injured in this crime?

All that matters is that the Pats showed the world that they are the epitome of all that is great in sports.

GO PATS!!!

After an emotional and very fitting tribute to NASA and the shuttle tragedy anniversay we moved to the awesome National Anthem with all its patriotic energy.

Then came halftime with a show that should not have been planned for a family event such as the super bowl!

Keep that type of entertainment for later in the evening on the cable shows!

It definitely went too far. It cheapened the event that the players and the league had worked so hard towards. She was not the only offensive act there though. Kid Rock prancing around in a torn American Flag was a slap in the face to Americans everywhere

I thought the whole halftime show was ridiculous and filled with minimally talented egomaniacs. Since I didn't actually witness the JJ/Justin part, I can only go by the responses of my 10 and 7 year old daughters--DISGUSTING!

I think it was absolutely pathetic. All I got out of this shameful attempt to entertain is that the talent isn't there to impress people so just rip your clothes off to get attention. It's a sporting event - not a strip joint. There's a time and a place for everthing. Shame on Janet for not having the sense to say no to the inappropriate obviously planned antic. I USED to think she was a lady in a class of her own. And what about this idiot Timberlake - he's not talented or esthetically pleasing.

I feel sorry for the teams involved that such an amazing game was tainted by this event.

One of the best superbowl games but the WORST half time show I have ever seen .

I think it may have been some sort of revenge plot arranged by Justin against the all too famous kiss seen round the world with ex Britney & Madonna. Hmm...

I have always loved watching football...especially the new england patriots...during the game my roommate and i watched and during halftime occasionally looked up from our work to make fun of the performers so we missed the boob shot...every year i hate the half time show more than i did the year before...at least before mtv took over half time celebrity death match did a half time program...most performers on mtv $uck...football music is rock not teeny bopper musicians like justin timberflake... next year someone should get a band to perform like U2 did the last time the Pats won the superbowl...if someone like metallica or ACDC performed it would be better or if even the marching bands were brought back it would be better cause no one watches the super bowl for the half time show...and oh yea...THE PATRIOTS ARE SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS!!!

Accident or not, inappropriate it was. But you can say the same for a good chunk of the male dysfunction commercials aired. Anyone care to explain those to their children?
