Jackson bares breast during half time show

Pop superstar Janet Jackson lost her chest plate during her Super Bowl XXXVIII half time performance, giving football fans an unexpected peep show. It appeared as though singer Justin Timberlake ripped it off as part of the show, revealing Jackson's right breast with a silver star on it. Did someone go too far?

It was a quickie. But really for a family show it went too far. If she was performing her own concert then she could do what she wanted. But for a family event it sent the wrong message. But then, who is she related to.

Unfortunately, the halftime show was just another example of how tasteless MTV can be. Going for shock value over talent seems to be not only MTV's forte but the way most "popular" entertainment seems to be going.

Nasty. My 10 and 8 year old daughters didn't need to see that. Had I known it was an MTV produced show I wouldn't have let them watch it. My guess is anyone who enjoyed it didn't have young kids watching it.

For crying out loud, it's just a breast. There's only about 6 billion of them on the planet. It was on screen for about a half-second. Who cares?

What a joke. If your career is in the tank, just flaunt your breast on TV and everyone will talk about it for days to come. She must be jealous that her brother is getting all the press.

Way to go, Janet!

The halftime show was completely inappropriate for such a large audience. While I like Kid Rock's music I don't listen to it at home.

Janet Jackson just continues to hold the Jackson moral banner high. I feel ashamed that other countries see this as a reflection of what mainstream America is about. A bunch of freaks. Someone had to know that her costume was rigged to do that. Shame on them for allowing it.

How do you explain to your kids that if she had worn that in the stands she would be thrown out, but on stage its supposedly racy and cool. Go ahead and push the envelope in thier own videos, but not the Superbowl.

Doesn't the network know that many people who watch the superbowl are not the MTV demographic.?

I thought that the Superbowl would be a safe thing for my family to watch. Now I know better.

It was planned, don't let anyone kid you. MTV will get great play from this, and the Super Bowl gets the Black Eye!

Honestly, who cares! The Patriots win their second Superbowl in three years and all anyone can go on about is that stupid, MTV halftime show?

Janet Jackson had already established herself as an artist YEARS AGO! There was no need, while people of ALL AGES were watching, for her to whip out her breast! I thought it was tasteless and unnecessary!

I'm no prude but i thought it was terrible....just not what i wanted to see while i was enjoying the game.
