Jackson bares breast during half time show
Pop superstar Janet Jackson lost her chest plate during her Super Bowl XXXVIII half time performance, giving football fans an unexpected peep show. It appeared as though singer Justin Timberlake ripped it off as part of the show, revealing Jackson's right breast with a silver star on it. Did someone go too far? Page 34 That stunt was absolutely tacky and pathetic. It was not smart for the network to let that go on air (without a screening delay) at 8:40 pm when children may still be up watching tv. I will never buy another Janet CD, and I will never buy into any Justin-related products. The half-time show was great up until that man-show ending. Lauren, Stoneham The Jackson/Timberlake incident was obviously planned and relatively tame compared to Nelly grabbing his crotch. Where is the outrage over that? After watching that halftime "show", I was left to wonder "couldn't the NFL fine ANYONE with talent to perform at the Super Bowl?" Janet Jackson was "over" ten years ago. Kid Rock, P Diddy and Nelly should never have "been". Joe, North Attleboro The whole halftime show was inappropriate for family television. Did they really need to have women in garter belts and Nelly singing to take off your all your clothes? Doesn't anyone have an common sense anymore. They should have stuck with Beyonce and Josh Grobin who did a wonderful job...... A Disgusted Mother, Woburn what does CBS expect when they team up with MTV? MTV will do anything to get more press. it's shameful and disgusting. it's not enough that MTV poisons the mind of America's youths with their trashy shows these days, they have to bring it to national broadcast. what a disgrace. what ever happened to music videos ? Eric, Boston, MA I thought the unveiling by Ms Janet Jackson was in poor taste. Millions of kids here and abroad were viewing what was supposed to a FAMILY FRIENDLY game. Shame on America, shame on CBS, Shame on Ms Jackson for such a disgraceful ACT. It is very clear that our country has taken a turn for the worst. Sincerely, Robert Jackson Robert , Warwick, RI Not the time or the place.. the Jacksons are all freaks Keaht, Oxford We were at a party last niht with over 60 people. Many of them children. I am very upset and disappointed at what happened last night at the Janet jackson show. Very upset. Dave, Boston I thought it was stupid. Everyone is making such a big deal about a breast. Sara, Dayton, nj Horrible. No wonder we have so many of todays kids that have misguided and screwed up values. What's next????? Steve, Shrewsbury I thought that stunt was absolutely inappropriate. I was watching with my 8 year old daughter. How do you explain something like that which shows up at a football game?? And they wonder why our kids act the way they do now? DUH!
