Jackson bares breast during half time show

Pop superstar Janet Jackson lost her chest plate during her Super Bowl XXXVIII half time performance, giving football fans an unexpected peep show. It appeared as though singer Justin Timberlake ripped it off as part of the show, revealing Jackson's right breast with a silver star on it. Did someone go too far?

Appalled and disgusted. This was about football, a wonderful competitive game that many families enjoyed was marred by these two narcissistic has-beens.

Score: Super Bowl: 100 Half-time show: 0

Janet Jackson had been out of the limelight for so long she needed to do something to get people talking about her again! Well, I know it got me talking....schwiiiing!

Regardless of the incident at the end of the show which only showed poor taste appealing to the lowest common denominator despite a family audience, the show itself was "lousy". Who could decipher any lyrics, who felt uplifted once it was over, who appreciated Kid Rock wearing the american flag and who walked away from half-time saying "What a show!!!"??? Who?

The NFL should know better than to have MTV do their half-time show. They got what they deserved. I only hope they learn from their mistake. After all isn't that what they preach??? The whole show rates a ZERO from our house.

I do not think I can be called a prude for disapproving of an inappropriate and sexually explicit act during an event watched by many children, especially young boys. If halftime ran at 10:30, sure I might have gaped along with everyone else and not have been as outraged, but 8:30 at night there were plenty of 7, 8, and 9 year olds still glued to the TV. I didn't flinch at the sexual inuendo embedded in every other advertisement, come on Mike Ditka throwing a football through the center of a tire. But when you lay out literal concrete examples for young boys of how it's Ok to rip off women's clothes and try to write it off as art or dance is wrong.

I considered most of the halftime show inap-

propriate and shut it of before it got to the al-

most given outcome. The lyrics about "check-

ing out her body" and "making me want to take my clothes off" weren't lost on this parent

and I think the organizers and CBS have a lot

more to apologize for than Justin Timberlake's supposed accident. Really, how can anyone expect to believe that his actions were in any way accidental?!?!

Yeah, yeah, yeah......everyone knows they do it in Europe but we're talking Texas, USA.

Aerosmith rocked - at least they sang it live, Beyonce looked very respectable and did a nice job on the anthem and Josh Groban is an amazing talent. They have to resort to such antics to distract any critics from the bad performance musically.

Yes, too far. We know women have breasts, and we thought JJ was talented enough to stand on her singing merits, but I guess not. It's too bad that some entertainers cannot let their talent be their focal point. She knew what she was doing, so did Justin, I believe they planned it. CBS & NFL shouldn't have to apologize, for JJ bad tatse.

Sad...very sad....accident my foot, I ALWAYS leave the house wearing stars on my boobs!!

People in other countries watch this game...and this is the crap entertainment that we treat them to and WE WONDER WHY Europeans say some of the things they do about us-

Pretty sad what people will do to hock an album and hype a career......

Great stunt by MTV. They're getting tons of publicity on this, which is what i'm sure they were going for. From a business perspective, i clap my hands for the marketing department of MTV.
