Pop superstar Janet Jackson lost her chest plate during her Super Bowl XXXVIII half time performance, giving football fans an unexpected peep show. It appeared as though singer Justin Timberlake ripped it off as part of the show, revealing Jackson's right breast with a silver star on it. Did someone go too far?

I am an older adult and I could understand a word there were saying, so my attention was drawn to costumes, jestures, and the like. Was there a message to be drawn, perhaps, young performers are so bored with thier lives that sex is all they have left? They should have left this show to the concert scene, and brought on a milder half time show. Was Janet trying to bring yet more attention to the Jackson's? And what about the rappers coming out with body guards, do they need more protection then our politicans? And the fur coats in 70 degree climate controlled area? With the rap scene it was more like a show of models on the runway, than a show.

Ok so I am in this MTV target audience, and Justin and Janet, that was just not cool. It just didn't sit well with me to watch Justin flirt with Janet. I thought the that whole (Justin Janet) act was in poor taste. Kudos to Kid Rock for being the only performer to actually sing. This is the first year I watched the half-time show, big mistake we should have went outside and played football.

MTV, CBS and then NFL are all to blame for that juvenile, pathetic and tasteless half-time show. Not only the Timberlake/Jackson incident, but most of the show including the crotch grabbing was shameless. As for those who refer to us who oppose such garbage as conservative purists and the like, just what was wrong with the Old America where there were certain higher values and ideals to strive for that were consistent with our Christian heritage? Do you prefer this swamp as an environment to raise our children in? Perhaps you do, but many others, including myself, do not.

Who really cares about Janet Jackson, it was truly tasteless but what do you expect from MTV, they are the reason why I have that station blocked at my home. And you wonder why 11yr old girls look like street hookers?

Absolutely!! It baffles me that the NFL would allow such performances at what is arguably a family show due to the hour of the programming. It was not something I would

have wanted my daughters ages 7 and 8 to see had I know beforehand.

Does anyone actually enjoy just “listening” to Janet Jackson’s music? She’s a great dancer, but her music has always been tasteless. Take away the video, and you’ve got nothing.

Maybe I sound like my father when the Beatles first made the scene, but she’s the grandmother of this horrendous style of music, whose performance has always been one step away from a glorified strip show without the stripping. I guess that step has been officially taken now.

If you want strippers at half time, go out and hire ‘em. If you want music, hire some musicians!

There shouldn't be an uproar over this incident. People see just as much on The Learning Channel or Discovery Channel often. It's because networks don't want lose advertising revenue in future Super Bowls because the chance of this happening again.
