Pop superstar Janet Jackson lost her chest plate during her Super Bowl XXXVIII half time performance, giving football fans an unexpected peep show. It appeared as though singer Justin Timberlake ripped it off as part of the show, revealing Jackson's right breast with a silver star on it. Did someone go too far?

They whole .5-time show was over-hyped, even by superbowl standards. Did any of these acts have a top 10 hit in at least the last year? If MTV produced it, where are all the acts from TRL? Wheres OutKast? Good Charlotte?

I did not even see this incident take place. I don't know how I missed it. Maybe I missed it because I was in such shock of how bad of a performer she was. I can not believe that her performance was not live. She should be ashamed of herself. Britney Spears the Second!

I should think that the prevention of something of that nature would be thought out

well in advance before going on World wide

TV, in front of people(Children) of all ages.

That wasn't done and demonstrates very

poor judgment. I shouldn't think CBS should

be blamed in anyway,espically since they so

quickly went to commercial. Maybe MTV is only demenstrating that they are representitive of their clientel. If I were them I

would truly reflect on weather it was worth it or not and now they can thank the two involved for that. I don't think it was representative of Ms Jacksons finest hour.

It's to bad because though I'm not a hard rock

type person, I sort of liked her music and I

don't think her family needed anymore controversy. Yes Janet, we were all in for a shock all right now maybe some of you and

MTV may be in for a shoc.

Yes, her breast-baring went to far. I was at a superbowl party (at my church) with a table filled with boys under 18 years of age. A few of them were in elementary school and were focused on the performance when "bam", she was sharing herself with the world. I don't know who is to blame, but I truly believe Justin Timberlake should be fined and at least ticketed for his actions and total disrespect to the "World"...since it was a global stage that evening. I am appauled to his and perhaps Janet Jackson's concern and sensitivity for the viewing audience.

1. This show sucked because it was not well thought out. Kid Rock singing old tired 'alternative' songs mixed with Pop genre bubble gum Timberlake? This should have never been seen at the same venue, crap,crap, crap.

2. Janet has surpassed the Britney and Christina stunts that keep their careers alive. While I was nowhere near offended by her pastie-clad breast I kept thinking about what the women's team was told last week on the Apprentice, when you are smart and talented- you shouldn't have to rely on crossing the line with your sexuality.

I thought the entire telecast was disgusting. From cbs' partisan polititical leanings being embedded in the broadcast, to the censorship of paid advertising due to those leanings to announcers who don't know what they're talking about -... CBS should be ashamed of themselves and Janet Jacksons breast is the least of the reasons.
