Pop superstar Janet Jackson lost her chest plate during her Super Bowl XXXVIII half time performance, giving football fans an unexpected peep show. It appeared as though singer Justin Timberlake ripped it off as part of the show, revealing Jackson's right breast with a silver star on it. Did someone go too far?

In a world where we are subjected to such obscenities as illigitimate presidencies and unjustified warfare, it seems ridiculous to me that people are getting so upset over such a small issue. Sure, she bared her breast, but it was a very nice breast. And besides, her nipple was concealed. Isn't that what matters? Considering that an escaped murderer was allowed to play in the game several Super Bowls ago, and that the viewing public was force-fed Phil Simms inane, bordering on Maddenesque, analysis, I find it hard to comdemn Ms. Jackson for anything she may have done. And like I said, it was a nice breast.

Definitely in very poor taste. What kinds of lessons are we teaching are children. MTV was not a good choice in producing the half-time show. Next time have them put up a bond just to make sure they conform to a standard of decency.

As a 62 year old, I am not "shocked" by this display. But why does it need to happen?? We had two great teams play a great football game. Why do we need to have this kind of sophmoric garbage thrust on us as the "price" of seeing the game?

Why can't the NFL and the networks, CBS in this case, just give us a great game without the crude antics of the MTV pimps and whores??

Im not upset about the breast, I honestly dont think its a big deal. But i think performance wise the whole half time show produced by MTV was bad, I think that the "malfunction" was not with wardrobe but with the creativity. The show could have been better and should have been. I think the exposed breast was intentional and I believe that saying its not now that is has caused a fuss is making MTV look worse. but hey it was a good game, Pats won, in the end thats really all that matters!!!

If they planned to do this with the blessing of their sponsor (MTV) It is outragious. There is a time and place for this....The superbowl half-time show is not appropriate.

I think the half time show was terrible. My six yr old was sitting right in front of the tv and he that it was disgusting. We were trying to have some nice family time.What are all of the pop stars trying to pull ,it only makes people not be their fans.

The entire halftime show is so unbelievably lame to begin with, why bother with one at all? I’d rather watch Bass Fishing re-runs during halftime than to have to suffer through Justin Timberlake lip-syncing his pathetic, Hollywood-produced, and unoriginal songs. I mean, who is your audience CBS? Teenyboppers? I don’t think so. It’s men (and some women too) who love football, not fool-a-palooza. PS. Nice try Justin, but the incident last night was no malfunction.
