Jackson bares breast during half time show

Pop superstar Janet Jackson lost her chest plate during her Super Bowl XXXVIII half time performance, giving football fans an unexpected peep show. It appeared as though singer Justin Timberlake ripped it off as part of the show, revealing Jackson's right breast with a silver star on it. Did someone go too far?

1. She's a has-been.

2. If you're going to lip sync, at least do it well.

3. Weren't those songs from the early 90s? Was this a "flashback" to the 90s half time performance?

4. Um, already done by Lil' Kim.

5. Outfit was a throw back to the early 90s too. Time warp?

6. Now we know how you intend to help your brother (media attention).

7. Nice tribute to your plastic surgeon.

8. You should take notes from the very classy Beyonce. She didn't lip sync and was dressed appropriately.

9. Justin Timberlake on stage with you won't make you look young.

10. Or hip, or "today". Just go back to the Neverland ranch.

Congrats, PATS on a GREAT GAME!!!

Talk about blowing things out of proportion! The hypocrisy of this whole thing blows my mind. We live in a culture that sells sex and celebrity everywhere you look, and all of a sudden everyone is shocked and dismayed that a breast was shown for a split second during the superbowl? Give me a break! I was more offended by those horrible Lavitra commercials!

Out of the 12 people in the room watching the half time performance two 10 year old girls were the only 2 to see the "unexpected" peep show. The Jackson parents must be very proud that Janet is following in her brothers footsteps!!! As for Justin, I thought you had more class!! Their performance was terrible.

It was so obvious by the look on Janet Jackson's face that this breast baring incident was an accident. Accidents happen---big deal. Americans are so unforgiving and petty...and then you guys have the audicity to criticize her performance. I thought Janet did an excellent job....let's see one of you guys try to go out there and perform like she did!

Janet and Justin are really desparate for publicity to pull a stunt like this. I hope they realize someday how their actions effect innocent children who were tuned in for a family event. And shame on CBS - why would they allow MTV to produce this and then be surprised by the result? If they didn't know, they are still responsible. I can keep my kids from watching MTV and from attending trashy concerts, but I thought they were safe watching the Super Bowl. Free speech and expression has gone way too far in America.

People are get all up in arms over 2 seconds of breast...it is a BREAST for heaven's sake. Children see more of a breast at the playground when mother's feed thier infants.

And by the way, Janet Jackson showing her boob, and dancers grabbing thier crotches are not the cause of poor behavior in children, lack of (or bad) parenting is a more likely cause. I know 6 year olds that watch South Park and Friends, where is the outrage from parents who allow thier young children to watch MTV? How about NOT letting your young child stay up WAY past an appropriate bed time on a school night to watch an adult show/event? (I never recall being early elementary school aged and up at 9:30 pm. Hell my bed time was 9:30 Sun-Thurs in 8th grade!) Or even better, how about spending some time away from the TV with your kids.

It did go too far. It was made to look like it was part of the show, giving the show a little more than expected. Many kids also watched the half time show, and shouldn't have been exposed to that.

There should have been a little more planning to Janet's costume way before the show.

The entire telecast was a joke (except the great game) - starting with CBS's unamerican censorship of paid ads (Moveon.org) and its pandering to the Bush family, to the commentaors who were lucky to pronouce players name's correctly because they are so clueless. Jackson was the icing on the cake.

Also - who's bright idea was it to feature a fantasy video of Aerosmith flying on the space shuttle on the one year anniversery of the shuttle disaster... talk about tasteless?!!!!

CBS should give it up.

The only talent that appeared at the super bowl was Aerosmith and Beyonce Knowles. All the rest was a total waste of time. I can't believe that all the fans that spent big bucks to go to the game were the least bit interested in what amounted to a means for janet jackson to hype herself.

What happened did Janet forget she had

talent and went for the raw attention? I won't

be buying her music again. What is it with the

Jackson family. Don't any of the decent rules

apply to them?

Too far!!!! Very disappointed Janet had to find

it neccessary to play the bimbo.

She sends the message loud and clear that it's ok for a man to do that to a woman. In private as well as in public. Now if some time in the future she is acosted by a guy she can't yell wolf can she. No one would believe her. Fire the person who thought of this one. Very bad taste!!!
