Jackson bares breast during half time show

Pop superstar Janet Jackson lost her chest plate during her Super Bowl XXXVIII half time performance, giving football fans an unexpected peep show. It appeared as though singer Justin Timberlake ripped it off as part of the show, revealing Jackson's right breast with a silver star on it. Did someone go too far?

It was really all just a big mistake. At first i thought that it was all apart of the plan, because i thought her (well at least i think it was this) nipple piercing was one of those nipple covers and that it was all apart of the gig. What was supposed to happen instead of that?

Maybe Janet needed that "shock value" to revive her career. Maybe they were trying to top Brittney & Madonna. Their whole performance was bump & grind, sexual inuiendo, and inappropriate for a half-time show performance. Did CBS think all the performers in garters and underpants carrying whips were good entertainment for all the families watching? What did they expect. Stop passing the blame, they were invited.

Way too far. The Super Bowl is the biggest TV event of the year, and they had to pull this. I try to be a responsible parent and monitor what my children see, but most TV (especially the producer, MTV, and sponsor, AOL) are trying to push boundries. That's fine for a specific target audience, but prime-time at the biggest TV event when they knew children would be watching? Inexcusable.

I don't think anyone should be upset at the end of the show, it was entertainment and that is what people watch the half time show for, whether it was staged or not, it is what everyone is talking about and that is entertainment. If your child is up at that late on a sunday night, then be prepared for them to see things that adults see.

Let's move on to the next item.

The entire half time show was talentless and pathetic.

Game was great-half-time shows stunk. Too bad two has beens had to get air time. Gosh Groban and Beyonce-class act. Janet and whats his name should take a lesson..Too late.

True talent doesn't need to resort to nudity and cheesy outfits. The half-time show was horrible. I would like to see real musicians.

Justin exposing Janet's breast just made a perfectly HORRIBLE half-time show complete! I could not wait for the show to end. Why do these so called singers (Nelly) need to grab their private parts, they are so disgusting. Advice to the network hosting the superbowl next year, please get some real talent.

I think that Janet and Justin are two self promoting, selfish entertainers....where is their decency? It was an obvious attempt to upstage the Britney/Madonna kiss....but this is different! This is an American tradition...the SuperBowl!! Kids were watching! I thought it was horrible and I hope the backlash on the two performers is just as horrible.

It was distaseful and silly. More proof that entertainers believe that they answer to no one. However, I didn't actually see it....I thought the whole half-time show of crotch grabbing rappers was juvenile and uninspired...and took the opportunity to leave the room....Yawn.

Why didn't Aerosmith do the halftime show?
