Jackson bares breast during half time show

Pop superstar Janet Jackson lost her chest plate during her Super Bowl XXXVIII half time performance, giving football fans an unexpected peep show. It appeared as though singer Justin Timberlake ripped it off as part of the show, revealing Jackson's right breast with a silver star on it. Did someone go too far?

One reaction was my 14 year old daughter who said, "eeewwww! isn't Janet Jackson like 40 years old!" Gross! She then explained the lyrics to the song Justin was singing - act was planned!

I thought the half time show was ok - who cares! A bare breast - just another performer who needs to do more to sell their music...

Great game - PATS are number 1 !!

That really crossed the line. Janet will be taking some of the media coverage away from Michael for a while with this one. It is supposed to be family entertainment. They both should be fined for pulling something like that.

Hi: The FCC or CBS SHOULD FINE THESE

PERFORMERS?? IF THIS TYPE OF INDECENCY IS GOING TO BE PART OF THEIR ACT.

THE LYRICS LEFT MUCH TO BE DESIRED!!!COULDN'T UNDERSTAND A WORD THEY WERE SAYING. I GUESS THEY DON'T TEACH THEM DICTION AS PART OF THEIR PERFORMANCE JUST THE LOUDER THE BETTER.

THANKS

OK, people... lighten up. It was a mistake that probably 95% of the country didn't even notice.

Oh... and Steve, in Maine... I'd like to see you get up in front of millions of people and do what she does. She is an extraordinarily talented woman.. her vocals are fabulous... and her dancing is wonderful... so much in fact that you'll find the teeny-bopper singers, so popular today (ex: Spears) have ripped off her moves. Same with Timberlake... very talented... (not so keen on the crotch grabbing)

In short, it was accidental. Get over it. Move on. Anyone who saw had to have had their faces pressed against the television set.

I thought flashing was illegal. I also thought that ripping clothes off of someone was illegal. the message that could send to developing minds is very scarey.

I'm not sure which was worse... seeing Janet's breast, or reliving Rhythm Nation.

I think they went to far. The superbowl halftime show really isn't the time or place for this type of display.

Regarding all these comments about how it's okay to walk around half naked in Europe and around the world, etc... and how Americans are prudish: you are so very wrong. I grew up in Europe and have lived most of my adult life in Asia. We think you Americans are very creepy, very low-life, and we do not walk around baring our breasts and other parts in concerts or in daily life, as you think. You are way way off base here. Americans are known for being un-classy, crass, disgusting, piggy people. Half time was very American.

I cannot begin to tell you how disgusting it was to see Timberlake rip off part of Jackson's top revealing her breast. I have no problem with nudity when it is in it's proper place. During a half-time performance of the biggest football game of the year, when thousands of children are watching, this was a lame attempt at producing yet another shock wave involving a Jackson in a self-promoting, attention-getting scam. Maybe it was a ploy to prove it wasn't Michael who was gyrating with Timberlake????? Pitiful, pitiful, pitiful.
