Pop superstar Janet Jackson lost her chest plate during her Super Bowl XXXVIII half time performance, giving football fans an unexpected peep show. It appeared as though singer Justin Timberlake ripped it off as part of the show, revealing Jackson's right breast with a silver star on it. Did someone go too far?

You can't change what happened, but it's really not a big deal. It finally showed us that Justin is coming a little bit closer to manhood. Overall the halftime show was terrible. MTV really needs to get their "stuff" together and realize that anyone who isn't a teenager has other things to do than watch Puffy and Justin lipsync. This is the Superbowl! Bring on someone legendary! Bring back U2!

I didn't find Janet's bursting bosom offensive, just exceptionally lame. It seems like Janet is trying a little too hard to keep up with the younger, skin-baring crowd. Maybe she realizes her music just isn't relevant anymore. Rhythm nation? What year is this anyway?

Who cares. The Pats won, and that is the REAL reason people were watching the game. Anyone see the Pats cheerleaders, they showed more for a longer period of time than Janet Jackson. This is just another thing for people to talk about, Think about it, it could be worse, it could have been MICHAEL Jackson up there. He probably would have liked Justin Timberlake pulling his shirt off...

JJ's and Justin's act was not that shocking, although it was distasteful!! What did you expect? What was more shocking was how STUPID, dumb and devoid of talent the show was!!

The whole world can see how class-less we Americans are -- do we want to be known as the MTV nation? That's how the world sees us -- the crotch grabbing, dumb, talentless sex crazed noise makers (don't tell me that was music!).

That is what we need to be shocked about....the baring of breasts we see all the time...did you see the Golden Globe awards? where a winner went to the podium and boasted about how good her boobs looked in her dress (thanks to her one year old son?) how come no one protested over that? because she didn't expose one critical half inch part but exposed everything else? come on. get real....

I think the Superbowl halftime shows have become to much a part of

the event. It's obvious that the target market they are directing all the

'entertainment' at is males 18-25. Most others dont want to see all that

crap. What happened to halftime analysis of the game? I'd like to see more

football and less of the crap they are serving us. Janet Jacksons stunt was

ill advised, completely inappropriate for the event and type of audience,

as well as bad for the multitude of children watching the Superbowl to see.
