Have you heard the latest buzz about the seemingly dead Manny-for-A-Rod, Nomar-for-Ordonez blockbuster deal? According to several fan message boards, including sonsofsamhorn.com and bostondirtdogs.com, the official team sites of the Red Sox, Rangers, and White Sox all changed their flags at the top of their sites within an hour of each other at about 2 a.m. today, removing images of the aforementioned players. Spooky! Conspiracy! What do you think is going on???

Since all MLB sites are maintained by the same entity, it likely routine maintenance and updates. Teams change their rosters constantly and teams often add new stars every year (especially the 3 teams mentioned above) and would want their websites to reflect these new aquisitions.

Did any of the other team websites change their flags this morning as well. They all run on an MLB format. Its quite possible that all the teams sites changed last night making these sitings just a coincidence. I'll believe that a trade is in the works when all sides announce the deal for real. I'm tired of listening to rumors.
