If you're walking on air today, you're not alone in Red Sox Nation. The Sox took six of seven games from the Yankees over the last 10 days, not exactly payback for last season's playoff ouster, but certainly a good start. Do you have a message to all those Yankees fans who spent all of last October gloating? Drop us a note and we'll post a top 10 list at the end of the day, and please, resist the urge to use profanity!
Page 5 You gotta love the sweep but realistically I have marked appreciation of this early lead. After 18 games we still have 89% of the season schedule remaining. If I remember correctly the yankees did the same thing last year. After a fast start they lost 8 straight at home in May including 12-15. 12 L's in 15 tries. And the Sox still ended up 6 games back at the end of the year. This bullpen is clearly much better than last year, and our staff will be able to fend off any kind of extended skid...But its EARLY! One day at a time, lets bring on TBAY. Greg, Dorchester Sox all the way in 2004....Go Johnny go!!! Joel McBride, Hingham I was watching game 3 in the Bronx and one time as Giambi walked up to the plate I noticed the rotating ad on the wall behind home plate. The ad was for "Amino Vital", a sports enhancement drink. Anyone else see this irony? Jay, Dallas These Yankees are going to ruin a lot of New Yorkers Summah! and make my Summah the best. No playoffs in NY this year. Bill , Reading Steinbrenner must be steaming out the ears. 6 of 7 to your rivals. that hurts. Kyle, North Grafton Too many heartbreaks in the past to let this get me excited. I hate the Yankees- a lot!- but living here in Ottawa I saw how the fans of the Senators focussed too much on Toronto (Toronto Sucks shirts etc.). In the end they got the last laugh. Ask me how I feel at the end of October. Patrick, Ottawa, Canada My note is to all Sox fans who sold out on Pedro because of a couple of bad innings. I hope you all realize that why he has lost his 95mph heater he is still the best pitcher in baseball. BG, South Boston The Yankee fans are so used to getting their way that they have ceased being true fans. How can they boo Jeter? If "youse" idots are fed up with him we would be happy to relieve you of his services. Jim , Reading "As we say here in New England: It's not about collecting talent, It's about building a team". -Bill Belichick "The great " Daryl, Boston The MF Yankees: team payroll: $185M team batting average: .185 team slogan: "Overpaid and overrated" ps. this team motto officially replaces the previous one: "The NY Yankees: providing world series championships to expansion teams since 2001." tom , cambridge
