If you're walking on air today, you're not alone in Red Sox Nation. The Sox took six of seven games from the Yankees over the last 10 days, not exactly payback for last season's playoff ouster, but certainly a good start.

You gotta love the sweep but realistically I have marked appreciation of this early lead. After 18 games we still have 89% of the season schedule remaining. If I remember correctly the yankees did the same thing last year. After a fast start they lost 8 straight at home in May including 12-15. 12 L's in 15 tries. And the Sox still ended up 6 games back at the end of the year. This bullpen is clearly much better than last year, and our staff will be able to fend off any kind of extended skid...But its EARLY! One day at a time, lets bring on TBAY.

I was watching game 3 in the Bronx and one time as Giambi walked up to the plate I noticed the rotating ad on the wall behind home plate. The ad was for "Amino Vital", a sports enhancement drink. Anyone else see this irony?

Too many heartbreaks in the past to let this get me excited. I hate the Yankees- a lot!- but living here in Ottawa I saw how the fans of the Senators focussed too much on Toronto (Toronto Sucks shirts etc.). In the end they got the last laugh. Ask me how I feel at the end of October.
