If you're walking on air today, you're not alone in Red Sox Nation. The Sox took six of seven games from the Yankees over the last 10 days, not exactly payback for last season's playoff ouster, but certainly a good start.

I went both Saturday and Sunday, and though I heard the loud pro-Sox chants from the other side of the stadium , I was one of six Sox fans in two sections out in left field. So, needless to say, I reveled more in the look of disbelief on the faces of those around me than the cautious enthusiasm of Sox Nation. Watching fans who're losing do the only thing they CAN do, I heard complaints of Sox fans "acting as if it were October", that "this is just April", that Pedro was "lucky", and the last resort of a desperate fandom, the "1918" chant. Yes, this is just April....yes, there's a long ways to go. But there are few moments I'll remember as well as sitting in Yankee stadium, tapping the loudest of the guys in front of me on the shoulder, and asking him if he had a broom I could borrow.
