Your message to Yankee fans

If you're walking on air today, you're not alone in Red Sox Nation. The Sox took six of seven games from the Yankees over the last 10 days, not exactly payback for last season's playoff ouster, but certainly a good start.

Do you have a message to all those Yankees fans who spent all of last October gloating? Drop us a note and we'll post a top 10 list at the end of the day, and please, resist the urge to use profanity!

Yankees Motto: "If we can't beat Pedro, we'll trade for Randy Johnson. If we can't beat Bronson Arroyo, we'll fire Don Mattingly."

Kristy , Medford

Yes its only April. Yes, there's 140+ games left. Yes, anything can happen. But here's something to hang your hat on. Taking 6 of 7 without Nomahh and Trot is a HUGE mental boost come the next series. The NYY are 7-5 after Boston. Its not like they are playing 2003 Detroit. NYY should have won at least 2 more games and they DIDN'T. You could tell NYY were looking for some of the magic to just appear over the weekend; to just give them a game or two b/c they are the NYY. Sox need to be relentless... now its TB!!

Matt , Brea, CA

Hmmm... could the Yankees be suffering the "Curse of Having A-Rod?"

Brenda, Biddeford

It is great to beat those overpaid punks from the boogey down Bronx. Let's just remember a win April is just as important as a win in September/October. A win is a win.

Doug, Medford

I know it's only April.........but doesn't it feel good????????????????????

You have A-rod but we have Pokey!

Chris, Quincy

Dear NYY fans: you've got a very classy bunch of ballplayers, including some of the very best in the game, and what do you do when they're down? Kick them?! Try doing what we Red Sox fans do: support our team through thick and thin, appreciate the good efforts of visiting ballplayers, and don't jump off the bandwagon the moment this year's World Series quest seems in jeopardy. The Yankees don't suck: it's you Yankees fans I can't stand.

Jim, Boston's South End

Red Sox fans need to not get to over confident, we still got a long way to go.Hopefully the pitching staff can maintain their consistency throughout the year

Bob L., E. Providence

I want to thank Jeter, A-rod, and Contreras for a fine weekend for Red Sox Nation and I want to give a special shout out to Bubba Crosby because falling down on the job and popping up bunts puts you high on the GET A NEW JOB list in Yankee land. Lets Go SOX!

Chris, Quincy

I was at the game this Sat. in NY and I just want to say that yes, we all have to remeber the 1918 chant, but that was a long time ago. Today is now and the Sox are doing well. Let's enjoy this and see what happens in Oct. when it comes. It's nice that Yankee fans are feeling just a little bit of the panic and pain that Sox fans have felt for years. Enjoy this sweep-- until the next one....

Jen, Holliston
