Pedrobis prime, or a legitimate Cy young candidate. Well hebcept the reality that he is an inning or two away the end of his career.

Say it isn't so Pedro! Yet another example of a professional athlete equating self worth by the size of his paycheck. Why shouldn't management make Pedro pay for play, why shouldnt' the make Nomar pay for play? In arguably the biggest series of their careers last year, both failed to come up big when prime-time big league players are supposed to come up big. Even though he's done it hundreds of times before, Pedro couldn't dig down and pull up the extra something to close out that inning.... We can blame it on Brady, but ultimately, it was Pedro's test - which he failed. If he wants to get paid, then win -- no more "wait till next year." I pay a lot of money to watch my team play, year after year. I pay your salary, Pedro, like millions of other fans. So stop your whining, and play ball.

I doubt I was the only die hard Red Sox fan rooting against Pedro on Saturday. This is the final straw for me. He should shut his mouth and let his pitching do the talking for him. I think Pedro is piping up because he wants to lock the Sox into a big long term contract, before he is exposed as the has been he appears to be. His only two good starts were against the Yanks and Blue Jays. Both teams were mired in terrible hitting slumps at the time. And if anyone doubts that, note that Bronson Arroyo shut the Yanks down twice in a week!

Trade him to whomever will take him even if it's the Yankees! As long they can offer a competent starter in return. Use the saved cash to sign some of our stars whom do not believe the universe is revolving around only themselves!

The red sox management team has done all they can to bring in more $$$ to fenway so they can pay the players more $$$ and not to keep raising the price of tickets but yet Pedro has the nerve to cry and whine about himself. The other GENTLEMEN without contracts are not trying to be so selfish and are trying to win and win it all. That takes committment from everyone. I think Pedro needs theraphy and the one person who can help him is Bill Bellichek. You MUST be a team player to win and he is not even close to that. I hope the next team he plays for has a team motto : SHUT UP AND PITCH, and he might have a chance of staying there. Good luck in finding 35,000 fans that will stand and cheer everytime to take the mound... Good Luck!!!

I think that they should give the money to Lowe... he's the guy who loves the Sox. Pedro whines and hits the road back to the D.R. every time.

Pedro, Pedro, Pedro. If you go into George's house, and he doesn't know you, he will shoot you.

I think Pedro has shown his true colors with his latest comments. While I respect his desire to maximize his value, to degrade the owner ship, and pull in other members of the team into his negotiation issue is totally inexcusable, an unprofessional. I think this reflects negatively on the game especially with the economy still in early recovery, and the fact we have Americans dying to protect his right to earn his millions. Good-bye and good riddance.

Ed, Medway

I love Pedro and want to marry him
