I'm a Yankee fan. We don't want Pedro. He always puts himself above the team. He is a cancer, and the sox don't need him. Trade him now if possible. How many ways can you spell JERK (Pedro).

Jack, West Springfield

The fans know that my heart and my body and my whole professional career belongs to them," he said. "If they want to judge this as me being a rebel, no. That's not it. I gave Boston the best opportunity I could give any team to keep me here the rest of my career." What a load of Bull.....SHUTUP Peddy.....

im really sick with whinning players like pedro and ty law you can bet if i was in charge of these teams i would let both players take a walk we got all we could out of pedro he's not gonna be the pitcher he use to be. i say dont pay him a big contract because i believe that there will be other pitchers out there to grab like the oak 3 and others let him go to new york so we can bang the hell out of him

kenny, cranston

If being paid $17.5 million this year is disrespect - maybe he should spend more time looking around at his neighbors in his native Dominican Republic, and their life conditions. He has now used up any residual "good-will" capital he might have had with fans like me. Losing it late in career is bad enough - doing so with a venomous mouth is not becoming. Good Luck and good riddnace after this season, I say.

The Sox should take a page out of the Patriots playbook, trade him and get some value for him while we still can. No one is that important or irrelacable. We'll do fine without him. We'd like you to stay but if you're that unhappy just say goodby and say no more.

I think Pedro has finally found out that he is not the number one pitcher on this team and it bothers him. He has been the ace for so long and now Curt's the man. It's probably is driving him nuts..I believe the organization is not willing to give him more than a two year deal based on his lost velocity and questionable arm status and that has Pedro throwing the "respect" word around. If something can't be worked out I would ship him to a team that has some young pitching. How about getting Pavano back now that he has matured or someone from that staff.

Bill, Danvers

Pedro has shown his true stripes as a person. He was given a pass for a long time because of his mastery on the mound, but his pitching is no longer good enough to turn a blind eye. Absent consistent dominance as a pitcher, I have no use for him on my team. I cannot root for a guy of his shallowness and self-absorbtion. Sox should let him walk after the season or seek a trade this season. Sayonara, Petey.

Stop crying and pack your bags Pedro. He can't even throw over 90 anymore. He needs more money because he needs to put food on the table and the money he is getting now isn't enough......poor Pedro.

Stacy, CT

Pedro is just stating what's been obvious for some time: both sides are going to wait and see what happens. Time to shut up and play ball!

Mike, Marblehead

Trade him to the National League for a left handed starter (Tom Glavine?) and a prospect. See how tough-talking he is with a bat in his hands.
