I stayed a year in Boston, went to the Fenway Park and became a die-hard Sox fan. My problem with Pedro is that he has chosen to whine at a time Boston's pitching depth and its offense (which should become hotter with the return of Nomah and Trot) makes them look like this finally is the year. So if Pedro keeps on whining and infecting the other potential free agents - Nomah, Tek, Lowe - with this kind of attitude then what? The curse will be in Boston to haunt the nation again. Here is my final take on the whole issue: Why don't Henry, Werner and Lucchino publicly come out with their stand on the issue as soon as they can and have the whole issue settled rather than have it hang over the team deep into the season? i find it quite hilarious that every year pedro shoots off his mouth during crucial parts of the season. although it is only may 3rd the sox are playing great ball and petey pipes up and the sox get swept in texas. being an avid yankee fan i love it. please keep pedro.. manny too.. ken sedona,az

This is soooo depressing. Pedro has built up so much good will over the years that I always want to give him the benefit of the doubt. However, this time, he's coming off like a petulant adolescent who knows he's losing it and is fearful of the consequences. Just shut up and pitch. Let him leave if that's what he wants. Pedro has been pulling our chain for quite some time now. Not only is he the biggest liability on the team, but he continuously takes down the spirit of the Sox by focusing on himself. I was surprised when he got shallacked last night he didn't come out and say he's been hiding an arm or leg injury like he does everytime he gets racked. Please shut up and pitch because that's what we pay you to do for now, we don't care where you are next year, we will worry about that then. Funniest part is he said he wanted to stop contract talks until the year is completed so it does not affect his pitching or the team? So exactly a month into the season he's already complaining like a little baby waiting for a diaper change. Wait that's it, maybe he needs someone to change his diaper for him too.
