Pedro is like a whining little bratty kid. I wish he would just shut the heck up. Nobody wants to hear a multimillionaire complain about being underappreciated. Pedro isn't what he used to be. I am tired of him as I think most Sox fans are. He plays for money. Thats alright because I work for money too. I don't think though that I would be such a complainer if my salary was 17.5 million to play a sport. Shut up Pedro. Please be on your way. Theres nothing worse than listening to someone who is so ignorant that they don't even know how fortunate they are.

He's the Ty Law of baseball! Let the crybaby go. The clubhouse will be much better off and the Sox can keep their core guys in place with all the money they save. After being at the ballpark in Arlington on Saturday night, I'm not even sure if he's worth keeping for the rest of this season. 17 million dollars for that kind of performance, please. He hasn't been the same pitcher since his mouth starting going faster than his fastball. Trade him and move on.

I think he's a baby and they should let him go. He's too much maintenance to keep happy. Let New York have him - they deserve sombody like him. He's not a team player.

I think you have to look at it both wasy. Pedro should not be calling out the ownership during a great win streak, but after the way the owners have treated Nomar I would not trust them either and Pedro has the gumption to come forward and say it.

Pedro was incredible in his prime, but that time has sadly passed. Now he's just another 'Me First" athlete that doesn't care about a fair exchange of value with the fans -- If we're going to pay his salary, he has to act like a good team player. He's the reality version of the 'how much will they pay me' athlete character in the Budweiser commercials. As good as he was, it's time to trade him and get something in return before he walks. Follow the lead of the Patriots -- get rid of him before he causes more damage.

Pedro or Derek? Didn't they reach the same decision? They would prefer to not negotiate during the season since management opted not to negotiate before the season.

Pedro always plays his contract this way, look at the way he went about his option year. I believe he likes to use the media to rile up the fans and get the most out of the owners. I further believe that he is going the way of his brother Ramon in that his shoulder will not last a full year. He should keep his mouth shut and pitch for his contract for next year if not with Boston the where ever. I hope the owners do not bow to this ploy of his.
