Pedro Martinez, in comments to the media, Friday declared "enough is enough" and closed the door on contract negotiations with the Sox, saying he will enter free agency after the season. Page 35 All of the sudden Pedro is nothing to Red Sox nation. But when it comes to postseason we all want him on the mound. Pedro can still pitch and I'm sick of hearing about his shoulder. Pedro no longer pitches 95 mile an hour fastballs. Pedro doesn't have the big frame that can endure the longevity that a Nolan Ryan or Roger Clemens have endured. If Pedro is smart he will negotiate with the Red Sox for a much lower salary. If the Red Sox are smart they will also try to work things out. On the flip side, if they don't sign him who else is going to be available?
