Talk about a June swoon. We can't think of two worse back-to-back losses than the ones the Red Sox suffered Tuesday and Wednesday nights, simply dreadful. Terry Francona seems to be making all the wrong decisions and players are fielding like they've got "Chico's Bail Bonds" ironed on the back of their jerseys.

To make matters worse, these losses were to the Yankees, and dropped Boston 7½ games behind New York in the AL East, the largest deficit since Grady Little's crew fell that low last August.

Things don't appear to be getting any better, either. The Sox were 11-14 in the month of June, and may have lost setup man Scott Williamson with an elbow injury Wednesday night.

The doctor isn't in, but feel free to sit on our couch and vent your feelings on the Sox. Can they turn this around? How? What are they doing wrong? Is this Francona's fault, or does the blame lie higher up the chain with Theo and the Trio? Or are the players to blame? Trade Nomar? Acquire a first baseman? Bring back Grady? It's open season ...

A Sox fan for almost 60 years (transplanted from Dorchester) and things just don't change. They need additional pitching (try Ben Sheets) also how about some basic fielding practice. Let the entire team sit and watch a little league instructional film. I am completely disgusted.

I hate the Red Sox! They are also the team I follow ALMOST as much as my team, you guessed it, The YANKEES. I don't want the Sox to fall out of the AL East race because that's what makes for an interesting summer. When both teams play well, there is no better rivalry in sports. The Sox are reeling and having 4 key players about to file for free agency is not helping. PS: What's up with Francona?? You'd be better with Grady as long as long as you have a "late season relief manager"!!

This is simply APPALLING! These guys are all playing like this is some pickup game in a vacant lot somewhere! GET WITH THE PROGRAM BOYS! This is a PENNANT RACE in the END OF JUNE, NOT a beauty contest. Blame Terry Francona all you want for not playing enough "small-ball," but just remember that he's not the one who's playing like the old Country Club Sox of the '60's. But then again, where's Dick Williams when you need him? But man, talk about a team that is playing like the Tigers of last year (they lost 119 games, remember). Tito should read this message and anyone who makes an error tonight should be pulled from the game immediately. That's why Pedro needs to strike out 15 tonight; we all know that if a ball is hit to a Sox infielder, he'll just drop it.

Lets face it. The Sox don't sign winners. What is Pedro doing talking to Yankee fans all game? Manny is a great hitter - but doesn't the fact that nobody picked him up last winter say something? Nomar .... I cringe everytime a ball is hit in his direction. Look at how Torre handles his team versus how Francona lets players get away with al this nonsense. And as for Theo the Moron .....I am certain every fan would have paid an extra dollar a game to have A Rod playing for us. Lets face it - these guys are just a bunch of losers.
