OK Sox fans, time to vent

Talk about a June swoon. We can't think of two worse back-to-back losses than the ones the Red Sox suffered Tuesday and Wednesday nights, simply dreadful. Terry Francona seems to be making all the wrong decisions and players are fielding like they've got "Chico's Bail Bonds" ironed on the back of their jerseys.

To make matters worse, these losses were to the Yankees, and dropped Boston 7½ games behind New York in the AL East, the largest deficit since Grady Little's crew fell that low last August.

Things don't appear to be getting any better, either. The Sox were 11-14 in the month of June, and may have lost setup man Scott Williamson with an elbow injury Wednesday night.

The doctor isn't in, but feel free to sit on our couch and vent your feelings on the Sox. Can they turn this around? How? What are they doing wrong? Is this Francona's fault, or does the blame lie higher up the chain with Theo and the Trio? Or are the players to blame? Trade Nomar? Acquire a first baseman? Bring back Grady? It's open season ...

Trade Nomar for starters. ' Nomaritis ' is spreading, now everybody botching easy plays. But really, his negative attitude is infectious. Furthermore, this entire " Moneyball " outlook is OK if you are a small market like Oakland. Boston is not. I always thought that the manager was a dope. Fire him , trade Nomar and bring on the future !

I wish the media (print, radio, TV) would now turn attention to stories about the WORLD CHAMPION PATRIOTS - any story about the Pats is better than stories we now hear/see/read - and will probably continue hearing/seeing/reading about the WORLD CLASS LOSER RED SOX.

Reason for Sox failure is simple: TOO MANY FREE AGENTS PENDING Once they announced A-Rod and Mag Ordonez were coming, and Manny & Nomar leaving....that started the downfall...signing only 2 out of 8 players finished it...Ortiz is having a great year..he was SIGNED...Manny a great year he is SIGNED...Pedro, Lowe, Varitek, Nomar, are NOT SIGNED and NOT PRODUCING...Millar stinks..Williamson although great is always hurt...there is NO SPIRIT...these guys are ALL LEAVING!!! Francona, although far more articulate, is a dumber manager than Graddy..hard to believe, but true...he is clueless.....Abner Doubleday even understood the principal of the sacrifice bunt & hit & run

Nomar has been my favorite player for the past 8 years, but his time in Boston has got to end. Do you think he wants to leave a World Series Trophy for the Sox execs when he leaves this fall. No. Try to work a three way trade w/ an NL West team that brings Brett Boone to Boston. The money saved will give them more flexibility now and in the future.

The Redsox need to make some changes. They should trade Nomar, as much as it kills me to say it. He is not going to resign, and even though he is playing terribly, he has alot of upside and other teams would be interested. Bench Millar for the rest of the season, and if you need to make a move at first, put in McCarty not Ortiz. Lastly, these bats are some of the best in the game, but Ortiz and Manny cannot do it themselves - where is the support Redsox????!!!!!

Bye, Bye Terry you stiff. Keep on playing Millar when you're coaching in Des Moines.

I was looking forward to an exciting season with all the hype! How often did we hear that 2004 Red Sox were built to win a World Series???!!!! There is no I in TEAM and therein lies the problem. It all started last fall. I just can't keep watching this...It is embarrassing and painful. I, too, am done!!

I cant take any more - Red Slobs!!!! They are through!!!

I thinkFrancona has to start playing the game the way it should be played.Example, when you have runners on first and second, sac. them over.Trade Nomar and Lowe.Bench Mueller.Get someone that can manage!
