OK Sox fans, time to vent

Talk about a June swoon. We can't think of two worse back-to-back losses than the ones the Red Sox suffered Tuesday and Wednesday nights, simply dreadful. Terry Francona seems to be making all the wrong decisions and players are fielding like they've got "Chico's Bail Bonds" ironed on the back of their jerseys.

To make matters worse, these losses were to the Yankees, and dropped Boston 7½ games behind New York in the AL East, the largest deficit since Grady Little's crew fell that low last August.

Things don't appear to be getting any better, either. The Sox were 11-14 in the month of June, and may have lost setup man Scott Williamson with an elbow injury Wednesday night.

The doctor isn't in, but feel free to sit on our couch and vent your feelings on the Sox. Can they turn this around? How? What are they doing wrong? Is this Francona's fault, or does the blame lie higher up the chain with Theo and the Trio? Or are the players to blame? Trade Nomar? Acquire a first baseman? Bring back Grady? It's open season ...

After 2 months of rag-tag, undisciplined Red Sox baseball, I've decided to find more productive things to do w/ those 3 hour timeslots previously reserved for games. It's way too frustrating to watch these clowns try to pass themselves off as serious athletes. I'm done!

There was no reason to take Wakefield out of the game. He had only given up three hits, and had the Yankees baffled. Pitch count was not a factor and he deserved a chance to get out of the inning. The Yanks were glad to see him taken out. And since Francona wanted to bring in a reliever, why a guy just coming off the DL?

Never thought it would come to this...I've had enough of these Red Sox. Yankees, here I come. Let's go Jeter!!!!

The Sox are truly cursed! Only a curse can make a ground ball go through a glove. The signs of Nomar's decline were evident when he became engaged to Mia Hamm last September. Now he is married and his all- star days are done! Thanks Mia! I still can play short, Rico

How are Sox fans not used to this by now??? As a loyal Yankee fan, I have to admit that I thought that the Curse would end this season. However, now I'm more worried about the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Long live 1918 and the Babe.

This team is really trying to kill me. I am tired of defending Francona, he really is in over his head. Grady was better. Francona is a "good guy" but he should be canned. Find a new manager, trade Nomar before he gets worse, maybe trade Lowe and Kim too. I know losing to the Yankees amplifies the pain, but the AL East is not a reasonable goal anymore. The wildcard is our only shot at getting in the playoffs. OK, I'm done. Good thing I didn't write this last night..............

Everyone read what Rick from Texas wrote and imagine him saying it on a horse with his face painted, like Mel Gibson in Braveheart. Give me a break guys. This is sports. It isn't the end of the world. Last time I checked there wasn't a plague of locusts hovering over the Green Monster. Take a deep breath, count to ten, and pray for a wildcard spot.

I am sick of you crying Boston fans... get over it!! You talk all about how you deserve to win, and how you are so oppressed as baseball fans.. WELL GET OVER IT!! All you do is freaking complain, you havent won a World Series since 1918 because you traded Ruth... Well look at the Cubs they havent won in even longer for not letting a goat in the stadium! So stop crying, suck it up, and be better fans. P.S. I hear Steinbrenner is going to by the rights to the word "Boston."

From first to third: McCarty, Bellhorn, Reese, and Youkilis. Francona needs to bench those who aren't playing well and let those guys who are playing well get into the game, regardless of the names on the backs of the jerseys. He needs to act like a manager, not a babysitter.

OK. I'm a Yankee Fan, lifelong in fact. I have just one polite question to you Sox fans. How in the world do you take it? Seriously, how the whole Red Sox nation isn't on Prozac is beyond comprehension. Boston has put out some great teams in the past; professinal, dedicated, passionate. This year's version is a pale shade of those great teams. (hell, it's a pale shade of last's year's team). In the past you could see the dedication to winning from the top down. I can't say I see it at the top, how could anyone expect to see it on the field.
