OK Sox fans, time to vent

Talk about a June swoon. We can't think of two worse back-to-back losses than the ones the Red Sox suffered Tuesday and Wednesday nights, simply dreadful. Terry Francona seems to be making all the wrong decisions and players are fielding like they've got "Chico's Bail Bonds" ironed on the back of their jerseys.

To make matters worse, these losses were to the Yankees, and dropped Boston 7½ games behind New York in the AL East, the largest deficit since Grady Little's crew fell that low last August.

Things don't appear to be getting any better, either. The Sox were 11-14 in the month of June, and may have lost setup man Scott Williamson with an elbow injury Wednesday night.

The doctor isn't in, but feel free to sit on our couch and vent your feelings on the Sox. Can they turn this around? How? What are they doing wrong? Is this Francona's fault, or does the blame lie higher up the chain with Theo and the Trio? Or are the players to blame? Trade Nomar? Acquire a first baseman? Bring back Grady? It's open season ...

Same story different year.

We fired Grady after he took us to Game 7 of the American League Championship against the Yankees in the Fall. What do we do with Terry if we are in third place behind the Devil Rays in the middle of the summer? Should there be any question?

I like to play with the Yankee fans. laugh, laugh. Uh, Pin stripes would look nice on me.

TRADE NOSEMAR! he has done nothing for the sox orginization where it matters most, ON THE FIELD! all of his charities and popularity aside, he's a cancer who doesn't even want to be a part of this team, and it shows. His popularity with the fans has clouded many people's perception of productivity, .116 in September last year, .242 so far this year and his fielding is atrocious. Blame injuries, blame Mia...his most recent injury is drenched in irony...he's become our achilles!

I used to live in New England. I now live in New York. I am still a red sox fan. It's time that Boston started going after real players. Nomar, Lowe, Pedro and Ramirez should be traded for players that are younger, have a better attitude and will get the job done without making excuses for less money. It's time to start the layoffs. I am so tired of seeing that sad face on Nomar or Lowe all slumped over after giving up another gofer ball. It's just not professional. I want to see the red sox hustling after every play, stealing bases. I want to see a killer instinct. I spent 165 dollars to gain access to all the red sox games on cable for this season. I may seriously write a letter to the GM requesting he pay my cable bill. I want my money back. I used to live in New England. I now live in New York.

Why can't the Sox hire a tough manager who rules with an iron fist when appropriate? It is clear Francona goes out of his way at all costs not to offend his players, and that hurts the team. I also think his concern with the Theo's approval of his every move hurts the team. Take a page out of Belichik's book and do what it takes to win. He seems too laid back for this job, as did Little and Williams. Also, why do the Sox always have major problems with the attitudes of its stars (e.g. Nomar, Pedro, and last year, Manny)? Finally, I can't believe the Sox are continuing to steadfastly refuse to play "small ball". I've never seen anything like it. No Chris Berman, that was not a typo -- the Sox have only 6 sacrifice bunts all year. Move the runner over, boys! The Sox don't derserve to win.

I never thought it possible for a Manager to be worse then Grady, but Theo found him. Thanks, we needed that. What was Tito thinking, if Nixon can't play the field, how is he supposed to be able to run the bases. With all the problems the infield has had, they needed a good glove at first, (hey McCarty couldn't do any worse than Millar), not a guy who should be the DH. Use your head Tito. I am already looking foward to the offseason moves, hey do you think ARod is available?

Rodney, Norwich, CT

UGHHHH I'm trying to stay optimistic by tellling myself it only June...............For the love of god play McCarty at first .....OR bring up Daubach.......BENCH MILLAR.....TRADE NOMAR

I'm sad because the Sox made my dad yell at the TV last night.
