Theo pulled a Grady Little on the team. the worst deal, the dumbest ever, dumber than babe ruth's I have no confidence in Theo, none whatsoever. Nomar is more than a shortstop, he's a leader both on and off the field. yikes.....

What are you gonna do? Nomar wasn't going to stay. I loved the guy and I wish they could have kissed and made up, but they got pretty good defensive guys and now maybe they can resign Jason and Pedro.

I'm a transplanted WHITE Sox fan and anti-Cubbie. I think the trade will improve the Cubbies so I'm against it. Since the Bosox and WhiteSox are both battleing for the wildcard, how about the stupid trade the WHITE Sox made sending Louiza to the Yankees for Contreras?

This is a terrible deal for the Red Sox. Nomar was the face of this organization for many years. I know that it was likely that he would not return next season, but you only trade a player of his caliber when you can make the team better in the process. We gave up a superstar and a very good prospect for two good gloves with no sticks. This deal made the Sox much worse. Go Cubbies!

Essentially the Boston media contributed to this by grinding this guy down till he didnt want to resign. The Boston media/writers and radio guys act like they're in NYC. But this is Boston and the Sox have no allure of legacy to keep a good player in town when the local media cr__ps on them. So, Nomar joins the likes of Clemens, Boggs, Vaughn, and 15 other superstars that have been glad to leave Boston..

Woo-Hoo! No offense to you people over there on the East Coast but we needed this. If Nomar, Prior, Sosa, and just about the rest of the injury prone Cubs can stay healthy we have a great shot this year. I feel bad for the Red Sox Nation only because you people know exactly how we feel year after year. This deal is so much better for us.
