Last season's "Cowboy Up" rally cry is dead and buried, but other themes -- like Red Sox hitting coach Papa Jack's slogan "Somebody Gotta Pay" and Kevin Millar's "Skin it to Win It" (regarding shaving heads again) -- have been bandied about for this squad. So far, though, nothing has stuck. What do you think the 2004 Red Sox battle cry should be? We'll post your ideas and pick our top 10 on Friday. Page 20 BRILLIANT (Like the Guinnes commercials) Dan, Wasington, DC Time to Finish It! Blake , East Bridgewater Does the team really need a motto? I mean the Pats have won 2 out of last free motto free so why do the Sox need one? They are winning without one now so why change it? David, Boston "we'rrre Backkk~! From the lines at Fennnwayyy...to the shores of Newww Yorkk....We will fight our city's batttle...and we'll win the world series this time!!!!!!! Sox's it up! peter, quincy Babe Who? John, Reading everyone fights, no one quits! Mark, Jackson, NJ Leave it alone. They don't need a battle cry. Cowboy Up didn't get us to the series last year. We're winning the way we are. Jamie, Tewksbury How about the lyrics of the Dropkick Murphy's song "Tessie" that was made to rally the Sox: NUFF SAID!!!! Love that song....Dr. Charles Steinberg is really a marketing genius!!! Cori, Lynnfield " Its the hair" josh, Medford After the Pats won last year's Super Bowl, I saw a great t-shirt, that mocked the Sox's "Cowboy Up" motto. The shirt read: "No Theme, Just Team". I think that describes this year's Sox team quite well. If that doesn't work, maybe "Back in the Saddle Again".
