One down ...
Wow! What a way to start a series. The Sox couldn’t have scripted a better opening to the postseason than their 9-3 pounding of the Angels on Tuesday afternoon. If you’re like us, you’re walking with a little more bounce in your step today. Talk about the victory, but try not to gloat too much. OK, gloat all you want. Pedro pitches Game 2, care to make any predictions for that one?
Petey should warmm up. Were gonna take this series in a sweep. Arroyo SHOULD opitch game 3.

I hope Schill's okay. We're gonna need this horse healthy. Pedro needs to pitch like the Pedro of old so we can avoid having to play a game 5. Tomorrow's game is key, I'm psyched!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it's a solid first win. i'm just focusing on each game as it comes - not looking too far ahead. Pedro needs to step up big and give us 5-6 strong innings tomorrow. we did what we needed to do - we've ensured at least a split coming home.
A great team victory. Everyone contributed. I was especially excited about Embree and Timlin slamming the door on the Angels.

I felt we needed to jump out early...and early we did. Tomorrow is huge! We get tomorrow and it is off to the ALCS, this time to win it. Schilling is the man. No it's Pedro's turn to be Poppa.

It's only one game. The game is over and it is on to the next one. I do not have a little more bounce in my step. Red Sox fans should know better than that (they did not win the 1975 World Series 3 games to 4, they LOST in spite of FIsk's home run). I will get a little more bounce in my step when they win the last game of the World Series. I have a feeling Pedro will bounce back, as long as the manager has the guts to pull him out when he should.
Great Start! I've been a sox fan all my life, and remember everything since the '75 series. I've learned not to get too excited, so I can only remain CAUTIOUSLY optimistic. However, that said, I'm hoping, and do believe that Pedro can have a great game (for which he is due!), and the SOX can take the 2-0 lead. If their bats can stay consistent, I am confident they will take this series in fewer than 5 games. THEN I will think about the next series. ONE GAME AT A TIME BOYS, and we should be OK!.. GO SOXXXXXXXXX!!!!!
Pedro will regain his magic and the Sox will take Game 2!! No problem-o!
