It is April 14, far too early to concern ourselves with the early struggles of Manny Ramirez. But that doesn't stop some. A friend sends in the following:
My roommate John is a Mets fan. He keeps telling me the Mets pitchers are on fire at the plate this year, so I thought Iíd look it up. This includes todayís day game (Darren Oliver, 1-1, 1 run, 2 RBIS?!) and does not include tonightís Sox game obviously, but look at the comparison of Mets pitchers vs. Manny.
I know itís only April, but this is still pretty pathetic after 8 games.
OK, a bit. And yet last year, after eight games, Ramirez was hitting just .219 with no home runs and three RBIs. In fact, he didn't hit a home run until April 16, and ended the month with a flurry, finishing with seven. This won't last.
