David Price will rejoin the Rays’ starting rotation Tuesday at Houston. Rays manager Joe Maddon said the team feels ‘‘pretty strongly’’ the lefthander is ready to return from a strained left triceps. Price went on the disabled list for the first time in his career May 16 . . . Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter, coming back from a broken left ankle, joined teammate Alex Rodriguez, sidelined after hip surgery in January, in hitting against minor league pitching. The Yankees expect both to return after the All-Star break . . . Brewers first baseman Corey Hart will have surgery July 26 to repair cartilage damage in his right knee and miss the remainder of the season.
