All-Star guard Chris Paul was expected to verbally agree to a five-year, $107 million contract extension with the Los Angeles Clippers Monday morning, according to an ESPN.com report. Paul’s decision to remain with the Clippers comes as no surprise following the team’s naming last week of former Celtics coach Doc Rivers as head coach and senior vice president of basketball operations.
