About him: Yandle is a seven-year veteran of the NHL, playing all seven seasons with the Phoenix Coyotes. In 413 NHL games through 2013, the defenseman had 53 goals and 164 assists. The Boston native has played in two All-Star Games (2010, 2011), and has served as the Coyotes’ alternate captain for the past three seasons, helping Phoenix reach the playoffs for three straight years, including making it to the Western Conference finals in 2012. Prior to playing professional hockey, Yandle played at Cushing Academy in Ashburnham in 2004-05, when he was named a New England prep school first-team All-Star. Yandle was slated to attend the University of New Hampshire before forgoing his college eligibility and signing with the Moncton Wildcats of the QMJHL. Internationally, he played for the US in the 2010 World Championships, collecting one goal and three assists in six games.
