About him: Pacioretty is looking to make his first Olympic team after playing in two IIHF tournaments for the US: the World Juniors in 2008 and the World Championships in 2012. In total, the 25-year-old has played 14 games for national teams. The native of New Canaan, Conn., is a five-year NHL veteran, playing 246 games for the Montreal Canadiens. Pacioretty has 68 goals and 85 assists in his NHL career. Prior to being called up to the Canadiens, he played 82 games for the Hamilton Bulldogs, Montreal’s AHL affiliate, collecting 25 goals and 47 assists over 82 games. Pacioretty played one season of college hockey, in 2007-08 at the University of Michigan, where he tallied 15 goals and 24 assists in 37 games.
