Arnold's cohost named today

WEEI has scheduled a conference call for this morning to introduce the station's new midday host. Jason Wolfe, recently promoted to director of sports programming for Entercom radio, will make the announcement.

All indications are that former Globe columnist Michael Holley will become the third man to serve as cohost with Dale Arnold, a WEEI original who worked a solo show in the station's early days, then was part of the "A Team" with Eddie Andelman and, for the past three years, teamed with Bob Neumeier on the "Dale and Neumy" show.

If timing is everything in life, Holley's is perfect. Most recently, he was cohost of "I, Max" on Fox Sports Net with Max Kellerman, a show that has been canceled and taped its final episode last Friday.

The midday job at WEEI opened when Neumeier, whose contract expired Feb. 10, opted to walk after being unable to push the midday salary range into drive-time territory.
