Change in Globe's sports lineup

There's a lineup change in the Globe sports department. As the Celtics start training camp in Italy this week, Shira Springer, our Celtics writer for the last eight years, will pass the ball to Marc J. Spears, our new beat writer.

Spears joins the Globe after covering the Denver Nuggets and the NBA for the Denver Post the last eight years. He also worked at the Louisville Courier-Journal, the Los Angeles Daily News, and the Tulsa World.

Springer has been promoted to a new position of enterprise writer. She will work on long-term projects and also be a key player in the Globe's coverage of the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.
