LOS ANGELES—The NBA-champion Boston Celtics have won the team award at the 16th annual ESPY Awards in Los Angeles.

The awards were presented Wednesday night, and the show airs Sunday at 9 p.m. EDT on ESPN.

The Celtics won an unprecedented 17th title in June with a victory over the LA Lakers. The Celtics went 66 and 16 in the regular season.

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was named the best NFL player, but the best game was the Super Bowl, where the New York Giants upset the 18-0 Patriots 17-14 in the final seconds.

That was also rated as the best upset.

The best play? David Tyree's leaping catch of Giants quarterback Eli Manning's pass that kept the Super Bowl-winning drive alive.
