NEW YORK—One man was shot dead and two other people were injured at a trendy nightspot where New York Giants receiver Victor Cruz was partying with friends.

Police say the shooting happened at around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday inside the Juliet Supper Club in Manhattan. The shooting was not related to the party.

Giants coach Tom Coughlin said Wednesday that Cruz was not injured in the shooting. The team is off on Tuesday so there was no curfew.

Police say the gunman and victim had argued.

Forty-three-year-old Artis Arthur was shot twice and killed. Police say a wounded 28-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman are in stable condition.

Police are still searching for the suspected gunman.
