HEERENVEEN, Netherlands—Canadian speedskater Christine Nesbitt extended her unbeaten start to the World Cup season in the 1,000 meters on Sunday.

Nesbitt won in 1 minute, 15.32 seconds to add to her earlier victories in Chelyabinsk, Russia, and Astana, Kazakhstan.

For the first time this season, no Dutch woman featured in the top three. Jing Yu of China was second with Russia's Yekaterina Shikhova finishing third.

Kjeld Nuis of the Netherlands clinched his first World Cup win, finishing in 1:08.64 ahead of compatriot Sjoerd de Vries and South Korea's Mo Tae-bum in the men's 1,000.

Olympic champion Shani Davis of the United States was seventh.
