Austria wins ski jump team event in Lahti

LAHTI, Finland—Austria won a team ski jumping World Cup on Saturday. Germany was second and Poland third.
Austria totaled 892.1 points for the four jumps, led by Thomas Morgenstern's individual score of 234.6 points for a jump of 94 meters.
Germany finished with 878.1 points, and Poland had 877.5.
Japan's Taku Takeuchi provided the highest individual score, claiming 244.7 points for a 99-meter jump.
Slovenian Jurij Tepes made the longest jump on the night, setting a hill record with 101 meters to improve Finn Janne Ahonen's record by 2.5 meters.
Last weekend, on the 225-meter hill in Vikersund, Norway, Austria won the gold in the team event of the ski flying world championships.![]()
