DULUTH, Minn.—Amanda Kessel had a goal and two assists to lead Minnesota to a 3-1 victory over Cornell 3-1 on Friday night in the NCAA women's hockey semifinals.

Kessel is the sister of Toronto Maple Leafs star Phil Kessel, a former Minnesota player.

Megan Bozek and Emily West also scored for the Gophers (33-5-2), who will play WCHA rival Wisconsin for the championship Sunday. Minnesota's last national title came in 2005. Either Wisconsin or Minnesota Duluth has won it all each year since then.

Alyssa Gagliardi scored on a power play in the second period to bring the Big Red (30-5) within one, after Kessel and Bozek had power-play goals in the first. This was Cornell's third straight Women's Frozen Four appearance.

Noora Raty made 20 saves for the Gophers, 2-1-1 against Wisconsin this season.
