Canada beats US 1-0 in women's hockey exhibition

OTTAWA—Laura Fortino scored and Shannon Szabados made 24 saves in Canada's 1-0 victory over the United States on Saturday night in a tuneup for the Women's World Hockey Championships.
The teams will face each other April 7 in Burlington, Vt., on the opening day of the tournament.
Fontino scored in the second period, moving in from the point and firing a shot past goalie Molly Schaus.
