Registration has opened for the Pine Hill 5K Run/Walk and Homecoming Picnic on Oct. 13, with adult, student, and team categories for the race along a scenic route starting and ending at the elementary school. The event is sponsored by the Pine Hill Community School Association, and proceeds will benefit the school’s enrichment programs. Participants can register online until Oct. 10 at www.pinehillcsa.org, or by mail until Oct. 5, and will receive a T-shirt and “swag bag.” In addition to an entry fee, which ranges from $10 to $35 depending on category, participants are asked to raise or contribute an additional $30 in pledges. After the races, families are encouraged to bring a lunch and blanket to the homecoming picnic and games on the Jameson Fields.
