Known simply as 'The Fumble,' Earnest Byner's late-game fumble against the Broncos in the 1988 AFC championship game helped the Broncos escape with the victory. Four second-half touchdowns passes from Bernie Kosar helped Cleveland knot the game at 31, but Denver drove for a go-ahead score with about five minutes to play. Cleveland promptly drove to the Denver 2 with 1:12 remaining, but Byner was stripped by Jeremiah Castille at the 3.
