Patriots cornerback Ty Law was caught at the Canadian border carrying the drug ecstasy in his travel bag in December 2000. Law and wide receivers Terry Glenn and Troy Brown stayed in Buffalo after a game against the Bills so they could wait out a snowstorm. The players went to a strip club across the Canadian border, and when Law attempted to cross back into the US to catch his return flight, customs inspectors found some pills in his car later identified as ecstasy. Law said the drugs were found in a suitcase that belonged to a cousin. "I had no idea that it was in the bag," Law said. Patriots coach Bill Belichick suspended Law for the season finale.
