MARK BLAUDSCHUN

1. Paynter - Baffert horse wins, but it’s not Bodemeister.

2. Union Rags - Better ride by John Velazquez, but comes up short again.

3. Dullahan - Without I’ll Have Another, he takes on the role of beaten favorite.

JOE SULLIVAN

1. Union Rags - After his horrible, traffic-filled, seventh-place finish in the Kentucky Derby, trainer Michael Matz took him back to the farm in Maryland to prepare him for this. Ready to pounce.

2. Dullahan - All week long observers have been raving about his preparation; seems primed for a big effort.

3. Paynter - At one time, trainer Bob Baffert thought Paynter was better than Bodemeister, the runner-up in the Derby and Preakness. Lightly raced but fast.
