Cuba tops USA in volley
BEIJING -- Cuba defeated the USA 3-0 in women's volleyball Monday afternoon at the Capital Gymnasium in Beijing. Scores of the games were 25-15, 26-24, 25-17.
The U.S. women have a 1-1 record in Pool A play and will face Venezuela at noon on Wednesday, August 13, at the Beijing Institute of Technology Gymnasium. Venezuela takes an 0-1 record into its match this afternoon with Japan after falling to China 3-0 (25-13, 25-13, 25-18) in its opening game.
