STAR ATTRACTION: The United States women's soccer team opens defense of its Olympic title against Norway, the only other country to win a gold medal in the sport. The US already boasts a pair of 4-0 wins over Norway this year, but they're not looking past their opening-round opponent. "Friendlies don't really mean anything," said United States defender Kate Markgraf. "What matters is how you're playing during the Olympics."
TV SCHEDULE: MSNBC, 7:30-10 a.m. -- Women's Soccer, United States vs. Norway (LIVE); Universal HD, 7:30-10 a.m. -- Women's Soccer, United States vs. Norway (Simulcast); NBC Olympic Soccer Channel, 5 a.m.-5 p.m. -- Women's games.
