Misty May-Treanor (Costa Mesa, Calif.) and Kerri Walsh (Saratoga, Calif.) defeated Nila Haakedal and Ingrid Toerlen of Norway 21-12, 21-15. The duo finished pool play undefeated (3-0) and now advance as the second seed to round of 16 play which begins on Friday.
