USA men's indoor volleyball team leader Rob Browning spoke prior to Sunday's match against Venezuela about the death of Todd Bachman, the father-in-law of USA head coach Hugh McCutcheon, at Capital Gymnasium. McCutcheon did not appear at the match that is still in progress. USA didn't wear black bands or any other material to show tribute to Bachman.

Here are Browning's quotes.

On the incident:
"The boys have done a good job in dealing with it. It's on the forefront of their minds but they are ready to play."

On the reaction from the women's team:
"The women's team's team certainly had to deal with it in a much more immediate way, right before their match (Saturday). But they knew the Bachman family personally quite well."

On the head coach:
"Hugh is attending to Wizz (Elizabeth Bachman McCutcheon) and Mrs. Bachman right now. He does not know when or if he will be able to return to the team. The team has rallied behind him to support whatever decision he decides to make."

On preparing for Venezuela:
"We made a point of making sure things were as normal as possible. After Hugh spoke to the team last night, the boys were ready to get their rest and get ready for their match today."
