Greetings from Canada Hockey Place, where Canada and the US will face off in less than an hour in their final tuneup before the start of elimination play later this week in the Olympic tournament.
Both clubs are expected to dress their full compliment of players, each with 20 skaters and two goalies, which means the only scratches on either side will be one goalie.
In their two prior games, wins over Switzerland and Norway, the Yanks went with Ryan Miller in net. That will be the case today, too. We'll know momentairly if Miller's backup will be the Bruins' Tim Thomas or the Kings' Jonathan Quick.
Thomas had backup duty vs. the Swiss, but sat out when quick was the designated bench warmer for the Norway match.
Martin Brodeur is expected to guard Canada's net, with Vancouver favorite Roberto Luongo on backup duty.--
