A Boston-based company has aligned with three Olympic athletes, including one from New England, to showcase the power of its product.

Burst is an app that allows for immediate upload of video from a mobile device like an iPhone, but in a secure fashion in which users regulate who can see them.

Donn Cabral, a runner from Glastonbury, Conn., is one of three Olympians using Burst and uploading behind-the-scenes videos from London.

Users must sign up online to view the videos posted by Cabral or fencers Dagmara Wozniak and Tim Morehouse, but they offer a real and unique perspective on the Games in which athletes speak directly to their audience.

Among Cabral's submissions are his thoughts right after his qualifying effort in the men's 3,000 steeplechase, his post-race feelings and what's ahead, and his candid comments about being interviewed about his participation in the Olympics.
